This Privacy Policy explains how Pantry Expiry Board handles information when you use the app.

  1. Summary Pantry Expiry Board is designed to be local-first. Your pantry item names, quantities, zones, best-by dates, notes, and history are stored on your device.

The app does not require an account. The app does not sell your personal information. The app does not show ads.

The app uses Firebase/Google Analytics to understand general app usage and improve the product.

  1. Information You Enter You may enter information such as:

Pantry item names Quantities and units Storage zones Best-by dates Reminder preferences Notes Consumed item history This information is stored locally on your device. It is not intentionally uploaded to our own server.

Because this information stays on your device, you are responsible for managing your device, backups, and app data.

  1. Analytics Information Pantry Expiry Board uses Firebase/Google Analytics to collect usage and diagnostic information about how the app is used.

This may include information such as:

App launches and screen views App interactions, such as adding an item or opening the paywall App version Device and operating system information Approximate technical identifiers, such as an app-instance identifier generated by Firebase General performance and diagnostic information Analytics events are used to understand app usage, improve features, fix issues, and make product decisions.

The app does not intentionally send pantry item names, notes, exact food dates, or pantry contents as analytics event parameters.

  1. Purchase Information If you make an in-app purchase, the purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store.

We may receive limited purchase status information from Apple or StoreKit, such as whether a purchase or restore succeeded, so the app can unlock paid features.

We do not receive your full payment card details.

  1. Notifications If you enable reminders, Pantry Expiry Board may schedule local notifications on your device.

These reminders are handled locally through iOS notification services. Pantry Expiry Board does not use a server to send push notifications.

You can manage notification permissions in your device settings.

  1. Sharing Of Information We do not sell your personal information.

Information may be processed by service providers used by the app, including:

Apple, for App Store distribution, in-app purchases, and device-level services Google/Firebase, for analytics and app measurement These providers process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.

  1. Data Retention Pantry data you enter is stored on your device until you delete it, clear app data, or uninstall the app.

Analytics data is retained according to Firebase/Google Analytics settings and policies.

Support emails you send may be retained as needed to respond to your request and maintain records.

  1. Deleting Your Data You can delete pantry data inside the app where deletion controls are available. You can also delete the app from your device to remove locally stored app data, subject to any iOS backups or device-level retention.

For analytics data associated with Firebase/Google Analytics, contact antogs99@gmail.com and we will try to assist where reasonably possible, though some analytics data may not be directly identifiable to you.

  1. Children’s Privacy Pantry Expiry Board is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
