Purlwise is a row counter and pattern tracker for knitting and crochet, on iPhone and iPad. By downloading or using it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
You own the projects, notes and counts you create. You are responsible for the patterns you import and for having the right to use them. Many patterns are copyrighted by their designers; Purlwise is for following patterns you have bought or are otherwise allowed to use, not for copying or redistributing them.
Your projects are stored on your device. If you delete the app or lose your device without a backup, we cannot recover them. Export a backup from Settings and keep your own copy of anything important.
Some features need your permission or a device setting: choosing a photo (photo picker), importing files, and showing the Lock Screen counter (Live Activities). You can change these in iOS Settings at any time. Features that need them will not work without them.
Purlwise is free to download and use, including one active project, counters, pattern import, the Lock Screen counter and backups. Purlwise Pro is a one-time, non-consumable purchase that unlocks unlimited projects, pattern-repeat counters, the project timer and stats, and the Home Screen widget. Purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple’s terms. Family Sharing is enabled for Purlwise Pro. You can restore a previous purchase from Settings.
Purlwise has no subscription and shows no ads. We will not charge you recurring fees.
Refunds are handled by Apple. To request one, use reportaproblem.apple.com.

We work hard to keep your count exact, but the count is only as accurate as the taps it receives, including accidental taps on the Lock Screen or widget. Check your count against your work before steps that are hard to undo. We are not responsible for yarn, time or materials lost because of a miscount.
We may update, change or discontinue features at any time. We try to keep the app working but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Lock Screen and widget updates depend on iOS and may occasionally be delayed.
The app, its design, code and branding belong to the developer. You receive a personal, non-transferable license to use the app on devices you own or control, subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and these terms.
The app uses services from Apple (purchases, Live Activities, widgets) and Google (Analytics for Firebase). These are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. See our Privacy Policy for details.
The app is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data, lost projects or lost counts, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
These terms are between you and the developer, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app, and is not responsible for claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We may stop providing the app or restrict access if these terms are violated.
We may update these terms. The effective date above shows when they were last changed. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
